EMG-60 Humbucking Active Guitar Pickup:
The EMG 60 pickup as a high output with heavy lows, screaming highs, and boosted mids. This pickup has great harmonic overtones due to it's close aperture coils. And thanks to it's ceramic magnets, this pickup has fantastaic treble response and a high output, which makes it great for single-note solos, as you'll hear every note in it loud and clear. While the EMG 60 works well in the neck position, it can also make for a nice, fat lead pickup. It has a steeper resonace slope but the peak is higher than other EMG pickups. Many famous guitarists use this pickup including James Hatfield of Metallica, because it has a distinctive crunch that will help any rhythm player stand out among others. While this pickup may not be as iconic as other EMG models, it's definitely one of their most versatile models, and deserves more recognition.
