The SH-11 Custom Humbucker from Seymour Duncan definitely stands out when used in brighter-sounding guitars the need a boost in their output. This pickup will work well in virtually any genre. The sound of this pickup responds very well to ebony and maple fret boards, and delivers a vintage kind of tone. The SH-11 has Alnico II magnets which give the pickup very spongy lows, great mid-range, and smooth highs. The SH-11 is very comparable to the SH-5, but it has Alnico II magnets instead, which give it the warmer and smoother highs with a boosted mid range and spongier bottom end. Overall this pickup is ideal for the player who is looking for a more vintage sound, but needs a higher output. The pickup has a 4 conductor cable.
