Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker Pickup

Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker Pickup:

The Dimebucker is geared towards scooped mids, a perfect amount of saturation, and scooped mids. Darrel asked for his signiture pickup to have a real thick crunch that had a little sage when you'd lay into it. That in additon to the tight and full low end response due to it's ceramic magnet and duel steel blades makes this pickup have a strong presnse just like how Darrel did. Dimebag said during an interview in 2004, " Its very saturated, not to the point where its overly fuzzy, but it has a smooth and crunchy distortion tone. It will give you some extra gain, but it wont go so far that your sound breaks up and is going crazy. You get that warm tone with the distortion mixed in and it has the low end thats kicking you in the butt while the top end is cutting your face off in the right way, but not ripping your face off. If you ever listen to a Pantera record, that’s what you’ll hear through this pickup”. This pickup works well with the 59 model pickup in the neck position for nearly the exact set up Dime himself had, or get the full set for the neck and the bridge. The pickup has a ceramic bar magnet, dual stainless steel blades, 4-conductor lead wire, and is vacuum wax potted to fight squealing and humming.

Features:

  • Powerful ceramic magnet coupled with stainless steel blades generates take-no-prisoners tonality
  • Small metal mass in core produces aggressive, high-output with treble bite and clarity, and punchy bass response
  • Perfect for heavy rock and metal
