AKG D5 Microphone
The AKG D5 is a super cardioid handheld dynamic microphone designed for live performance vocals and specially focused on high-volume bands. The D5 can be used both for lead and backing vocals and will always deliver a powerful sonic output even on the noisiest stages. It utilizes a super-cardioid polar pattern to provide the user with maximum gain before feedback, making its output stand out crisp and crystal clear above the mix. This AKG has an integrated wind and pop screen to allow effective suppression of pop and breath noise, along with a shock mounted transducer element to reduce handling and cable noise.
The mic has a frequency response between 70 Hz and 20 kHz, light net weight of 8.2 oz (340 g), and length x diameter dimensions of 7.3 inches x 2.0 inches (179.1 mm x 51 mm). The device is quite sturdy and capable of taking punches onstage or in the studio due to transport or frequent use.
