The EMG-81 is one of the most iconic active guitar pickups for lead guitarists. The EMG-81 shines the most at full volume, overdriven, or with heavy distortion. From hard rock and overdriven amps, this pickup has a razor sharp attack with fantastic sustain. This makes this pickup great for soloing.
