This design is based on the old Fairway Banks/Vega Design for their old-time banjos that are so sought after today. It's an excellent replacement tone-ring for open-back banjos. Delivers a very Rich and warm tone that old-style or Clawhammer banjo playing compliments so well.
This tone ring is constructed of a round steel hoop that is held in place by a Spun Brass sleeve placed overtop of a solid scalloped brass ring. It produces a warm, mellow, rich, staccato old-time sound, usually preferred for open-back banjos. 11" Diameter to fit almost any 11" banjo pot.
