Even though this pickup was originally intended to be paired in the neck position with the JB model Seymour Duncan, this pickup is incredibly veristile and will work with nearly any genre of music. With an Alnico five bar megnet and special coil winging, this pickup has a glass treble response, with and tight bass, scooped mids, and a beefy overall sound that helps each note stand out clear under clean sounds, or heavy distortion, even if you're playing at fast speeds. This pickup is not only great with the JB model, but also works well with the Invader and Perpetual Burn models as well, making the SH-2N a great all-purpose pickup. Famous mucisions such as Randy Rhoads, Dave Mustaine, Jeff Beck, and others have also used this pickup. The pickup has a silver bottom plate and is vaccum wax potted to fight squealing and humming.
