This gorgeous guitar is a 1969/1970 Gibson Les Paul custom. This is a vintage piece with a lot of years and love to it. It not only looks amazing but plays amazing as well with a great tone. The action is set low, the neck tenon is short, and the neck feels great with no warping or any major damage that would affect it. The body is heavy, weighing in at 10.6 lbs, and sits comfortably on the lap. The neck is on the thicker side, as most Gibsons are, it's round and smooth and your hands glide across easily. All of the electronics work and there is no severe or major damage that ruins this guitar in the slightest, however, this is a vintage piece that is over 50 years old, so there is some very noticeable wear to it because it has been loved for so long.

This is labeled as either a '69 or 70s because the serial itself dates back to a '69 and the previous owner stated it was a '69, however, the pots are labeled as 70s, which leaves us 100% unsure.

Not everything is original, unfortunately. The bridge is a replacement tun-o-matic, the pickups were replaced with 1970s mighty mite humbuckers, the tone and volume knobs have been replaced with speed nobs, and the truss rod cover had to be replaced. Along with these replacements, the frets were refretted with jumbo frets, and a split-coil switch was added. The neck was also refinished so some visible signs of that are noticeable but nothing extreme that makes it look different and this was not done due to damage or cracks, it was refinished for play-ability and cosmetic reasons.

There is still a ton of originality to this guitar though. The finish on the headstock and the body is the original and has not been messed with in any way. The gold tuners, tailpiece, plate covers, and pickguard are all original as well. The plate on the back that covers the switches is cracked as shown in the photos but it still does its job and doesn't affect anything playing-wise. The pots are original as well and the selector switch is, however, the switch tip is not.

The case that comes with it is also the original. It is a hard-shell case with an orange velvet lining. The case itself is in fair condition due to its age and many years of protecting this beautiful instrument. There is an obvious hole in the case right above where the selector switch is located. The interior lining is also peeling away as seen in the pictures and there are marks and scratches all over. However, the case still holds the guitar nicely and the latches work properly to allow safe traveling and carrying.

This is a stunning guitar with a stunning sound and endless possibilities! It has been loved for many many years and is ready to be loved for many more in the hands of someone who will appreciate it just as much as the previous owner did!
